Deer Hunt 2014

This was Carter's first year deer hunting with his own deer tag and his own rifle. We hunted our favorite deer hunting spots up in Randolph. We had warm weather, blue skies, and we saw a lot of deer, mostly does. Carter had an opportunity to shoot a pretty nice 4 point buck, but he hesitated and it ran off over the ridge before he could get a shot off. He was pretty bummed out, but we had a fun time. Carter worked really hard this year and got his hunters safety and his atv license so he could drive his own four wheeler. We went on a lot of technical trails and Carter did awesome! I was proud of him. I was really hoping Carter could shoot a deer his first year, but we still had a lot of fun. Maybe next year....

Calee and love notes from boys at school

Oh man, we are in trouble. She's only in 1st grade and Calee is already getting love notes from boys at school (he even put his phone number)

Look who got her ears pierced!

Calee has been begging us for a while now to have her ears pierced. Tonight we were at the Layton Hills mall and she decided tonight was the night. She was nervous, but she was super brave and didn't even cry. The girl at the Icing store that pierced her ears was so cute with Calee and made the whole experience a lot of fun. Calee looks so cute with her little ears pierced and she is so excited now to be able to wear earrings. It was fun night!

Utah Select Basketball tryouts

Tonight we were in Kaysville so Carter could try out for the Select Utah comp basketball program. We are sad to see the football season end, but excited for basketball season to start. Carter did really well tonight and we find out next week which team he made. We are so proud of him and the good little athlete he has always been.

Cambree and Calee's school pictures - 2014

Carter's football season - 2014

I have loved watching my two guys together this year. Terry as a coach and carter as my big football player. I'm sad to see football come to an end. Can't wait until next year.

Christy's birthday 2014

Today was Christy's birthday today. The day started out at Carter's football game in Layton, and then we spent the rest of the day hanging out and shopping at Rainbow Gardens. For dinner, we went with Darrin and Holly up to Maddox. It was a fun day!!! Happy Birthday Christy!!! I love you!!!

Christy's birthday dinner at Bellas!

We celebrated Christy's birthday tonight at Bellas restaraunt. It is one of our favorite places to eat and they always embarrass you pretty good on your birthday by making you wear a big sombrero and sing to you. It was a fun night!

Re-dedication of the Ogden Temple -2014

Today was a special day. Christy, Carter, Cambree, and I got to go to the re-dedication of the Ogden Temple. We watched for years, as it was being built, waiting patiently. We were able to attend the open house and it was amazing. Today it was awesome to watch President Eyering speak and re-dedicate the temple.

Shine the Light Production 2014

We are so proud of Carter. He was able to be a part of the "Shine the Light" Production up at the Dee Events Center. It was a celebration for the re-dedication of the Ogden Temple. He, along with thousands of youth from all over utah and wyoming, got to perform for the prophet and other general authorities. I'm sure it is something that he will never forget.
