Cambree's birthday party

Last night we had everyone over from both sides of our family for Cambree's birthday party. Cambree wanted sloppy joes for dinner, so that is what we had. Cambree got to open up the rest of her presents from us, and then her presents from everyone else. Some of her favorite presents were her pink Nintendo DS, Her Toy Story 3 barbies, lots of cute clothes for school and a ladybug Pillow Pet. She didn't want cake, so we bought her a great big cupcake. Everyone else got to choose little cupcakes or sugar cookies and vanilla ice cream. It was a fun night. I am glad that Cambree had a fun birthday today.

Happy Birthday, Cambree!

Cambree turns 6 years old today. She was so excited this morning to wake up and open some birthday presents. She wanted cinnamon rolls for her birthday breakfast, so I made some for her before I left for work. We are having a family birthday party for her tonight, and she wants sloppy joes for dinner. I hope she has a wonderful birthday today. We love her so much and can't believe she will be in first grade this year. Happy Birthday, Cambree! We love you!!!!

Proud cousins!

Emily and Kyle brought baby Addison up to Grandma and Grandpa's house last night, and our kids were so excited to see her and hold her. Carter didn't want to give her up, and Calee just kept kissing her and loving her. It was cute to watch them be so loving toward her.

Calee

Took these picture of Calee yesterday after Church. She was acting so cute and so silly!

Sparklers!

We still had a few boxes of sparklers left over from July, so we go them out and let the kids light them on friday night. It is funny how a small thing like sparklers can make kids so happy. They had fun dancing and twirling around in the driveway, waving sparklers.

Camp Bartlett

A couple of weeks ago I went to Camp Bartlett for a week with my scouts. It was beautiful up there. The weather was perfect, and our camp was right by the lake. It was nice to just sit and relax and do a little fishing. We also went on a hike up to see "Old Ephraim's Tree". Old Ephraim was a famous Grizzly bear who wandered the area up there and his claw marks are on an old tree that we got to go see. Our Scouts were pretty well behaved for the most part and they had a lot of fun and earned a lot of merit badges.

Baby Addison!

My little sister Emily and her husband Kyle had their baby Friday, July 30 at 4:35pm. She weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. Her name is Addison and she is adorable. I am so happy for them and I am glad Emily and baby are both doing well. We got to go up friday night to the hospital and see them and hold Addison. Our kids were upset because they couldn't go in and see her, but they are really excited. Congratulations Emily and Kyle! We love you baby Addison!

Raptors Game

Last night we had the fun opporunity to go to the Raptors Baseball game with a bunch of our friends from our ward. Our kids had a blast playing with all the other kids that were at the game. Carter, Josh, and Parker spent most of the game down on the lawn trying to catch baseballs and talking to the players. It has been a while since we have been to a game and I forgot how fun they are. I didn't think our kids would sit through an entire game, but they did and they had a lot of fun.

Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo

Saturday night we took the kids to the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo. Our kids had a blast! Calee was clapping and waving to all the Miss Rodeo Utah contestants. They loved watching the mutton busting and Cambree kept asking when we would see the bull riding, since that is her favorite part. There was a lot of cool patriotic moments, plus we got to see the governor of Utah, Gary Herbert, and watch them crown the new Miss Rodeo Utah. At the end of the rodeo, there were two pro motocross guys that put on a show, doing stunts in the air. They were awesome and one even did a backflip. Then, of course at the very end we got to watch the fireworks show. It was a very fun night, and I know it was a night our kids will always remember.

Little Red Scooter!

Calee has been doing such a good job going potty in the big girl potty, that we rewarded her by buying her a little red scooter. She has wanted her own scooter for quite a while and she has been having a blast riding up and down the sidewalk on her new scooter. We are so proud of her for doing so well at getting potty trained!

Awesome Water pictures

I took these pictures of the kids out in the front yard playing with the hose. It was supposed to be in the swimming pool, filling it up, but they were having way more fun spraying water everywhere and trying to squirt each other. Calee was having a blast whipping the hose around and trying to get Carter. I like how cool the water looks in some of these shots.
