Happy St. Patricks Day!

Our kids were very excited for St. Patricks Day. They all wore green pajamas to bed last night so they wouldn't get pinched this morning. They also had on their green clothes this morning. We had a little bit of green hair spray left so Carter, so we sprayed Carter's hair green.

another tooth, gone!

Cambree noticed one of her teeth was loose this weekend. She started wiggling it Sunday and wouldn't let any of us touch it. She kept telling us that she wanted the Dentist to pull it out, not any of us. We told her ok, but to just keep wiggling it back and forth. Sunday night she came to us all excited, with her tooth in her hand. She was so excited to put it in a baggy and leave it on her nighstand for the tooth fairy. She was even more excited the next morning when she discovered the tooth fairy had been there and left some money. She ran around the house telling each of us and showing us the money. She even woke Calee up to tell her. She looks really silly with a tooth missing on top and now one missing on the bottom in the same place.

kids and their cousins

Our kids were so excited to have their cousins in town this week. Kevin, Mandy and their kids were here this week for spring break. All we heard, every day, was "Can we play with Eli, Owen, and Isabelle?" We were able to spend some time up at my parents house and let the kids be together. They had fun playing in the yard and hot tubbing together in the hot tub. It is hard on them to live so far apart from each other. They play so well together. Here are some pics we took of them playing in the back yard after sunday dinner.

Disney on Ice

Our kids were so excited for Disney on Ice. Calee kept calling it "Disneyland on Ice". Our kids loved every minute of it. We let them each get an Icee in a Disney cup. This year the theme was "Lets Celebrate" and they celebrated different holidays. We loved the Halloween part with Jack Skellington and all the villains. The girls loved all the princesses, and Carter loved the end when all the Toy Story characters came out. It was a very fun night.

12 years

This weekend Christy and I celebrated our 12th anniversary. I was lucky enough to win tickets to see George Lopez in Wendover. Christy and I drove to Wendover on friday. We stayed in the Nugget Hotel and got to see George Lopez at the Peppermill Concert Hall friday night. It was a perfect little overnight getaway. Saturday we drove home and picked the kids up and headed to Salt Lake city. We spent the day shopping at the gateway and then surprised them by taking them to Disney on Ice. It was the perfect weekend and the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.

Sugar cookies from Dicks!!!

There is a place called Dicks Market in Bountiful. They make the biggest, yummiest frosted sugar cookies ever. Christy's family has always loved them and often has orders them for family parties. Well, it has been awhile since we have had any from there and I know Christy has been craving them, so I drove down to bountiful on my lunch hour today and bought a dozen of them to surprise Christy and the kids with. I ate two of them today and they were amazing. Christy and the kids were very excited. I found out later that Christy's Mom and Aunt Nadene were also there at Dicks today about the same time I was, but we never saw each other. Crazy coincidence!

The silly things kids do...

These are all recent pictures and they are all silly things about our kids. I love them so much and every silly thing they do. I try to always have my camera handy so I can capture these moments.
Calee had her first dentist appointment this week and is so proud of her toothbrush and toothpaste that she got from the dentist, that she carries it around with her everywhere we go. (also, notice the sweet galoshes she is wearing)
Cambree, Calee and Avery made this awesome mess in Cambree's room this weekend. It's hard to get upset with girls that are so silly and so cute...

Calee thought she needed to wear a pullup on her head the other night.
well, and then she wore one OVER her pajamas.

This is Ken's shirt that Cambree made for him out of kleenex tissues. Pretty stylin, eh?

and then there is our sweet boy, Carter, the true blue cub scout. He is always wanting to work on his cub scout projects. Lately he has been whittling cool things out of bars of soap. I am proud of him for learning how to be responsible with knives and learning how to use them safely and properly.

Our new dining table and chairs

Christy and I have wanted a new dining table and chairs for a LONG time. We have had the same dining table and chairs 12 years (since we were married). Our old table came from JC Penneys when Christy and her mom used to work there. It was a nice table, but it had a crack in the top. Christy's mom bought it for us for ten dollars and my Dad fixed the crack for us. It served us well the last 12 years, but it was time to finally buy a new one. Christy and I have always wanted a black counter height table with a natural wood top. I decided to take pictures of our old table and put it for sale on KSL classifieds. I had someone call me about twenty minutes later and tell me they wanted to buy it. so.... we went to dinner and to RC willeys to pick us out a new dining table and chairs. They had the perfect set. The one we have always wanted.

Blue and Gold Banquet Luau

Last thursday night was the cub scout blue and gold banquet. Carter was sick with the flu, but luckily he was feeling well enough to attend. Our ward has amazing cub scout leaders and they put together a really awesome Luau for all of us parents and our boys. Each family was able to dress up in Hawaiian attire and get their pictures taken. The room and tables were decorated really cool and we got to eat pizza for dinner. Carter earned some arrow points this time. Carter loves being a cub scout and we are really proud of him for all that he has accomplished so far. It was a fun night.

waffles on the weekend

Our kids' favorite thing to make on saturday mornings for breakfast is belgian waffles. Cambree has a really cool Cinderella waffle iron that we use to make them with. Carter usually opts out and eats poptarts instead, but our girls love homemade waffles with lots of mrs. butterworths syrup. Calee decided she need to sit on the counter and help me cook the waffles.

Basketball 2011

I coached Carter in basketball again this year and we had a fun team. I was really proud of them. We played against some tough teams. We won some games, lost some games and had a lot of fun in the process. It is fun to see the boys improve from year to year. I am especially proud of Carter. He is a good little ball player. He is very competitive and really gets into the game. It helps that he was the tallest player on our team and one of  the tallest players out of any of the teams. There were a few games where he scored most of the points for our team, and one game (on his birthday), he scored the only points for our team. We are super proud of him. We are just sad to see the season end already.
