This monday night was the annual open house at the fire station. My kids are spoiled because they get to see the station and climb around on the trucks anytime they want, but they had a lot of fun with all their friends. I am especially proud of North View because my Grandfather Terrel J. Call, who I am named after, started North View Fire and was the first Fire Chief. My Dad has been a firefighter since I was a little boy and is now a Deputy Chief. I have been doing it since Carter was a baby and I have loved every second of it. It truly is the best job in the world. Later that night as I was tucking Carter into bed, he told me, "Dad, it is so cool that you are a firefighter. Not very many kids get to have Dads that are firefighters, but I do and that is really cool."
