I love my girls!

I took this cute picture of my girls yesterday. I feel pretty lucky to have them in my life. I love my wife and kids sooooooo much.

Calee and her new panties!

We have started talking to Calee about going "big girl potty" We bought her a cute potty book at Deseret Book. We are going to let her pick out a girlie potty seat. The other night we were at Gymboree and she picked out a bunch of cute big girl panties. When we came home she wanted to put all 5 pairs on over her diaper. She wouldn't let us take them off. Last night she was wearing all of them over her pajamas. She doesn't quite get it yet, but at least she is getting excited about it.

Carter the Cub Scout!

Carter has always been excited about becoming a scout. He has enjoyed helping Christy's dad in scouts and going on campouts with me and our boy scouts from our ward. Well, this month he turned 8 and became a cub scout. He is lucky to have his mom and our neighbor Amanda for leaders. He has already earned his bobcat award. This thursday night was the blue and gold banquet and he was given his bobcat award. It is fun to see him get so excited about scouts. I loved scouts as a kid and I look forward to doing scouting with Carter.

Happy Valentines Day!

We had a fun Valentines Weekend together as a family. We gave the kids each a new webkinz and each a bag of their favorite candy. They each wore something red for Valentines. You can't read the whole thing, but Carter's shirt says, "The Ladies love me! We bought it at Old Navy and at first he was embarasssed to wear it, but after awhile he thought it was cool.

My Valentine Girls!

Nerf Gun Wars

This weekend Carter and I decided to play a game of Nerf tag. Well, in the mean time, Christy and Cambree had gone downstairs and loaded up on Nerf guns and ammo. They came up blasting and before we knew it, we were having an all out Nerf gun war. Darts were flying every which way. The girls thought they could beat us, but it didn't take too long for them to give up. We had a lot of fun running around the house shooting each other. Our house was covered with Nerf darts by the time we were through.

Calee and her binky

So, the funniest thing happened today. Calee has been binky free for a couple of weeks now. Yeah, the first few days and nights without it was a little rough, but it has been smooth sailing ever since. Well, today we all pile in the car to go to church, and we are backing out of the garage when we hear calee say, "Look, mom a binky!" We turn around to see Calee sucking on one of her old binkys. We both shouted in out in complete horror.... Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Christy quickly plucked it from her mouth and hid it. Apparently not all the binkys got thrown away. Calee was completely heart broken all over again. She was still sobbing when we walked into Sacrament meeting. I quickly handed her my I-touch to play with and that made her happy again. That was a close one! Hopefully she doesn't keep finding them as time goes on.

Happy Birthday Carter!

Carter turned 8 years old this weekend. Friday, February 5th was his birthday. He was up bright and early wanting to open birthday presents. This year all Carter wanted was Nerf guns, airsoft guns, and any other toy that was a gun. Oh, yeah, he also wanted more Legos and Bakugans. He was a happy boy when he opened up his presents and discovered that we had given him a new fully automatic Nerf gun and buckets of ammo to go with it. He wasn't as excited about all the new clothes, although he did like all his new fox racing t-shirts. I asked Carter where he wanted to eat for his birthday dinner, and he chose his favorite restaurant, Bellas mexican restaurant. So we had a fun birthday dinner party for him that night at Bellas. Between lots of family parties and a fun superbowl party yesterday it was a very fun weekend, and Carter told me that he had a good birthday. It is hard for me to believe that he is 8 years old. He is so excited to be baptized next month. He is such a good boy, and we just love him so much! Happy Birthday Carter bub!
