Toads

We have been putting our Toads passes to good use. We spend many evenings out there with the kids mini golfing, playing lasertag, and riding the go-karts.

The girls new dress-up Armoire

This is our latest project. We found something on Pinterest and decided to try and build this armoire for our girls to store all of their dress-ups. It turned out really cute. The hardest part was building the drawer, but I am really happy with how it turned out. Our girls love it!

Cousins!

Today was Christy's cousin Jacob's mission farewell. He will be serving in Argentina. We were able to travel to Farmington and hear him speak today and to hang out with the Laws side of the family at Christy's Aunt Nadene's house. It was fun to see everyone. Our kids loved seeing some of their cousins that they never get to see. I took this cute picture of Christy's cousin Nate playing with Cambree, Calee, and some of their cousins on the front lawn.

2013 Safe Kids Fair!

Today was the Safe Kids Fair out at the Fairgrounds. Our kids enjoy going to it. There is always a lot of fun stuff to see and our kids love all the free stuff. Most importantly, though, they learn all about bike safety, internet safety, car safety and lots of other good safety stuff.

Hashbrown Winters and the Whiz-Tastrophe!

Tonight our friend Frank Cole had a book signing party for his new Hashbrown Winters book at the Deseret Book Store in Fort Union. Frank and Heidi Cole were our best friends when we were first married and lived in South Ogden. We have tried to keep in touch over the years but it is hard now that we have kids and are so busy.  Frank is especially busy. He is an author and has published quite a few books. His Hashbrown Winters series of books are some of our kids' favorite books. When we heard that they were having a party for his latest book, we knew that we had to be there. Our kids were really excited when we told them where we were going. It was fun to watch Carter and Jackson (Frank and Heidi's oldest, who is Carter's age) act like best buddies even though we haven't hung out with them in a few years. It was a fun night and we were glad that we could be there. Frank is one of those people that keeps you laughing and smiling the whole time you are with him. We are proud of him and we owe him a big thanks, because his books have helped Carter learn to enjoy reading.

Calee's field trip to UTA

Calee's pre-school class took a field trip to the UTA in downtown Ogden this morning. Calee was super excited ride on a (City) bus today. The kids got to watch a fun video on bus safety. We were given a tour in the office building and also out in the garage where they fix all of the buses. The highlight of the trip, though, was being able to go for a ride on one of the UTA buses. They took us through the giant bus wash twice which the kids thought was awesome. It was a fun field trip!

Little Red Tractor

This Red Tractor was Carter's when he was little and each of our kids have always loved riding it. The other day as I was cleaning out the shed, Cambree and Calee decided to take the little red tractor for a spin. We have been having cold spring weather, so Calee was wrapped up in a blanket. I just love these girls and thought that this was a pretty cute picture of the two of them.

Dance Practice

Our girls have their big spring dance recital next month and they have been practicing their dance routines every chance they get. We got a CD with their musical numbers and they have their dance costumes already,  so they have Cambree's stereo setup in the kitchen and have been practicing a lot lately.
