Sami and Jared's wedding

Sami and Jared were married Saturday night up in Pleasant View. Our kids were so excited to be able to go to a wedding. Carter looked handsome in his dress clothes and his new black and red tie. Our girls look very cute in their black dresses. The wedding was very nice and we are so happy for Sami and Jared.

Cambree's field trip to the Nature Center

This year Cambree begged me to go with her to her 1st grade field trip to the Nature Center. I was able to leave work and meet her down there. Despite the cold weather and the wind, we had an absolute blast. It was fun to get to spend some one on one time with her at the nature center. We learned all about Indians, bison, plants, and we got to see all kinds of different birds. We even got to sit inside a teepee and hear Indian stories.

November Pack Night

This month our scouts had a fun pack night. Carter and his troop performed the flag ceremony, they performed a skit, and we even had a lot of fun scout cheers. Carter was excited to play the part of the Turkey hunter in their little skit. He wanted to dress up in some of my hunting stuff, so I let him dress up in some of my orange hunting gear. He also took one of his nerf guns to use in the skit. It was a funny little skit. We are proud of him for being involved in cub scouts and for earning some arrow points this time at pack night.

We love our kids!

Long Hair!

Some of you have noticed the last little while that Carter's hair is getting pretty long. He decided this summer that he wanted to grow his hair out. We have always been against the idea, but finally decided to let him try it. It has taken some getting use to, since he has had short hair his whole life up until now. The longer it gets, the easier it is to comb in the morning. We still aren't crazy about it. I keep trying to talk him into cutting it. He has even gotten some money bribes from people in the family to cut it. Hopefully when he starts basketball, I can talk him into cutting it. Until then,  we'll just love our shaggy little boy!

Cambree and her little black boots!

Cambree has wanted black boots for quite awhile. Well, Christy surprised her this week by buying her some cute, black boots. We weren't going to give them to her for a few weeks, but Christy couldn't resist giving them to her early. I had no idea a pair of boots could make a little girl so happy. She wore them to church on yesterday, she wore them to Grandma's house last night, and I noticed she wore them to school this morning. She does look stinkin' cute in them. They make her look older than she really is, which I am not crazy about, but she does look very cute and very stylish.

Our cute girls!

Our girls looked extra cute in their dresses this morning.

Halloween at Grandma Janet and Grandpa Roger's house

We took some cute pictures of all the grandkids on Halloween day at Christy's parents house. It was fun to see them all together in their cute costumes. Peyton and Mavrik looked really cute in their matching halloween outfits.

Halloween 2010

This year Cambree and Calee were Southern Belles and Carter was Master Chief from the video game Halo. I took the kids out trick or treating saturday night while Christy stayed home with Kari and handed out halloween candy. The weather turned out to be pretty good. We hit all the houses and town houses in our neighborhood and the kids got way too much candy. Later, after we got home, we had friends come over and we had a fun Halloween party.  I took one picture of them with Carter not wearing his mask, and the other one with him wearing his mask. He looked pretty cool in the full costume. and the girls, well they were the cutest little southern belles ever.

Halloween Parade

Christy, Calee, and I went over to the kids' school and watch the Halloween Costume Parade. It was fun to see all the kids and their costumes. There were a lot of really cute and a lot of really creative costumes.

This year's Halloween Jack O' Lanterns

We love carving pumpkins at our house. This year the kids picked out some fun patterns to try. The kids helped me scoop them out, and I did most of the carving work. My favorite one this year was the scary clown. The kids loved the disney Buzz Lightyear and Winnie the Pooh. Oh yeah, Spongebob was pretty cool, too!
