Neil Diamond at Rio Tinto!

Saturday night was awesome! Christy and I got to go see Neil Diamond in concert at the Rio Tinto stadium with the rest of my family. We left our kids with Josh and got to go have a fun date night. We ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then went to the concert. Christy and I have never been to Rio Tinto before so we were excited to finally see the stadium. The concert was awesome! Neil Diamond looks and sounds the same as when Christy and I first saw him 13 years ago. Christy's family made fun of us for going to a Neil Diamond concert, but I'm afraid they were the ones that missed out. He puts on one heck of a show. It was a fun night. What was also fun is that we saw a lot of friends of ours at the concert and got to talk to them and hang out with them after the concert. Christy, and all the girls got Neil Diamond T-shirts and made friends with people in the T-shirt line. It was fun night! one we will never forget!

Happy 24th of July!

We spent the 24th of July at home with lots of friends. We had a big barbecue in the backyard and then we all moved to the front yard for a bocce ball competition follwed by sparklers for all the kids. Then, as soon as it got dark we put on a pretty awesome fireworks show. Between our fireworks and the Araves fireworks down on the corner it was a pretty good time. It was fun to see so many friends, family, and neighbors show up to be with us. We ended up having about 30 people or more. It was a fun night!

Here are some fun pics that I took of the girls and their sparklers.

Swimming Lessons at North Shore!

Our kids are in swimming lessons each morning at the North Shore aquatic Center. They love to swim and would spend all day in the pool if they could. Calee is always so excited to tell me about what she did each day in swimming lessons. Since tuesday was a holiday, Christy and I got to go to their swimming lessons with them and watch them. It started off raining, but was blazing hot by the time we were done. They thought that it was awesome swimming in the rain! I am so glad that our kids love the water and love swimming so much. We are going to Lava Hot Springs the first weekend in August and our kids are very excited! It's going to be awesome!

Bye Carlie! We love you!

Last night was the last sunday dinner at Grandma's house with my cousin Carlie before she leaves on her mission to Japan. She enters the MTC on wednesday. Our kids were sad last night as they said their goodbyes to Carlie. We told them that time will go by really fast and that she will be home before we know it. Carlie is afraid that Calee won't remember her when she gets home, but our kids love Carlie so much and they won't forget her. Our kids can't wait to write Carlie letters and send her packages. This was a group hug that Luke, Carlie, Megan and our kids had last night before we left. In the first picture you can't see Cambree because she is squished in the middle of them.

H&M

Carter and my Dad found these stylish Orange suit coats in H&M and just had to try them on. They were also digging these cool hats.

Disney Store!

The Disney store is our favorite store at City Creek and the main reason we went down there on friday! Our girls were in heaven the minute they stepped through the doors. They were excited to pick out their halloween costumes for Disneyland. Cambree is going to be Merida from the movie Brave, and Calee is going to be the wedding Rapunzel. It was so fun to watch them try on their costumes and be so excited. Carter got him a Jack Skellington t-shirt. It was a fun day and got us all very excited for Disneyland this October!

City Creek!

On Friday we took the kids and rode down to Salt Lake on the Frontrunner with my Mom, Dad, and Shandi. We spent the day eating and shopping at the new City Creek Center. The food court was awesome, the shopping was awesome, and the atmosphere is amazing. Our kids loved every minute of it. It was a very fun and very relaxing day.

Riding the FrontRunner to Salt Lake!

We rode the frontunner to Salt Lake on friday and our kids loved it! It was nice to not have to worry about traffic, gas money, or parking once we got there. Very fast and very convenient. I don't know why we don't ride frontrunner more often.
