Winterfest 2011!

This saturday was Ogden's 2nd annual Winterfest. They hauled in hundreds of truckloads of snow and covered 25th street and grant avenue with snow. They have lots of different activities friday and saturday. We decided to head down right after Carter's basketball game was over on saturday morning. We met up with Parker and Kari and walked around with them.It was cold, but the sun was shining and it turned out to be a really nice day. We watched skijouring (someone on a horse pulling someone on skis through a course), snowmobile drag races, and we even went tubing down the snow hill on 25th street. Our kids had a lot of fun and I am glad we were able to go.

Be the HERO of your own story!

I was able to meet Carter and the rest of his 3rd grade class over at the Treehouse Museum on Thursday. It was fun to be there and spend some time with Carter. The new theme is "Be the Hero of your own story" and they got to learn all about heros and what it means to be a hero. They got to make their own books, make their own movie and even play a part in a play. It was awesome!

Calee's Birthday!

Calee's birthday was this last sunday. It's hard to believe that our baby is 3 years old. Everytime we would ask her what she wanted for her birthday, she would tell us the same thing. A new bike and a new baby bed. Well, we spoiled her and got her the coolest baby bed and coolest little bike. We lucked out on the baby bed. We found it at Target on clearance. It was regularly 100 dollars and we got it for 25. It has a baby bath, baby bed and little drawers to store stuff. Yeah we scored big! The bike is made by Diamond Back and is called the lil' della cruz. I saw it at Kents last year and put it on layaway for her birthday. She loved both. In fact she played with her new baby bath/bed all day on Sunday. We let her open some of her presents Sunday morning before we went to church and then later that night we invited friends and family over for her birthday party and she was spoiled with more presents. Calee also had a really awesome Birthday Cake this year. She has two cousins, Carlie and Megan that are quite the cake makers and made her a really cute pink lady bug cake. A big thank-you to Carlie and Megan! Thanks to everyone for making Calee's birthday so great! We love you tons, our little Calee bug!!!

Our little Calee

Calee has been sick this week with a stomach bug. The poor little thing has been throwing up and had diarrhea all week. I have decided that having sick kids is the worst thing in the world. Hearing her little voice in the night saying, "my tummy hurts" and then going in and seeing her laying in a bed full of throw up about breaks my heart. She was so excited the other day to receive a birthday card in the mail from her Great Grandma and Grandpa Call. She was even more excited when she opened it up and saw that there was five dollars in there. I just had to take a picture of her with her card and five dollars. It was one of the highlights of her week. We just love her so much and hope that she is over this so she can celebrate her birthday this weekend. Can't believe our baby will be three years old.

Fashionista

Cambree is our little fashionista. She is really into dresses, skirts, and tutus. Lately it is hard to talk her into wearing jeans. She would rather wear stuff with leggings. This little ensemble was supposed to be for Valentines Day but of course we let her wear it early. She did look stinkin' cute and we snapped this picture of her before she headed out the door for school.

American Girl Dolls

Christy, Cambree, and Calee love American Girl Dolls. I'm not crazy about how expensive they are, but I have to admit that they do make really cute dolls. Cambree and Calee have both played with their American Girl Doll "bitty babies" so much that they are starting to show some wear. They keep telling me there is actually an American Girl doll hospital that we can send them to and they come back good as new and even wearing a hospital gown. Cambree was lucky enough to get Lanie and Kit for christmas. Here are a few pictures of Cambree and her dolls:

Sherpa Hats

We bought our kids these cool Sherpa hats for them to wear this winter. They love wearing them and they keep their ears and heads nice and warm. They look so cute when all three of them are wearing them. I made them put them on the other night so I could take some pictures of them. Calee is still so tiny, so hers looks really big on her.

New Year's Eve

This year we had a fun party at our house for New Year's Eve. The top picture is just a sampling of the junk food everyone brought to eat. We also had pizzeria pizza. (I'm pretty sure I gained at least 5 pounds).  It was a fun night full of Dance Central on the xbox kinect and playing rockband on the wii. Christy kicked my butt on dance central, (of course).  Our kids had a blast playing games and being with their friends. One of their favorite parts of New Year's Eve is drinking sparkling cider. Our friend, Jen even brought party poppers for all the kids to shoot off confetti at midnight. It was a fun night and a good way to bring in the new year.
