Golden Spike National Historic Monument!

Sunday, we rode our four-wheelers out to the Golden Spike National Historic Monument. We learned that you can't ride your atvs into Golden Spike and park in the parking lot. We had a park ranger promptly meet us out in the parking lot and give us a butt chewing because we all rode our atvs into the park. She made us leave and park them about a mile down the road. The Monument itself was awesome. Our kids loved the trains even though they didn't quite know what it all meant. It was definitely a neat experience. I am glad we were able to go see it.

Four-Wheeling!

This weekend we were able to go on lots of fun ATV adventures with the kids. Calee went on her first four-wheeler ride and did amazing. There was only one section of trail where she got a little scared, but the rest of the time, she had a blast. Our kids love riding four-wheelers.  Sunday, we rode all the way from Snowville to the Golden Spike National Historic Site out in the desert. It was a long ride and I was worried that our kids would get too tired, but they loved every second of it. Yesterday, on our last ride, Carter and I ran over a great big snake. We thought it was a rattle-snake, but when we stopped to look at it, it had no rattle.

Memorial Day Weekend!

This year we broke tradition and decided not to go to Round Valley up in Morgan. Instead, we decided to go somewhere we have never camped before. We decided to go up to a little city in Northern Utah called Snowville. What is in Snowville, you say? well, not much. A few gas stations, a few diners, and a really cool campground called the Lottie-Dell campground. We stayed at the Lottie-Dell campground which had full hookups for our trailer which was nice. We also had an access road from our camp that led to all kinds of fun ATV trails up on the mountain that we could ride. The weather ended up being really nice and we ended up having lots of fun camping, riding four-wheelers, playing games, and just relaxing. Lottie-Dell also had a lot of really cool antiques to look at and an old driving range with golf clubs and range balls that we could hit. Here are some cool pictures that I took of the kids in the campground.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Terry you are a wonderful Husband and father.  Thankyou for all you do. This morning the kids were so excited to give Terry his presents. Last week I gave him a Bike. Today the kids gave him a new shaving kit, two pairs of shorts, and a nose hair trimmer yes that is what he asked for. Calee was a little confused I think that she thought that Terry would get toys so she lost interest after the secound gift. Carter and Cambree made home made cards for him and were both so excited. Cambree was a little sad she really wanted to give Terry a Prince Charming for his birthday, but I had no luck in finding him. (We collect Jim Shore Disney Figurines and we have the Seven Dwarfs thats why).  I hope you have a wonderful birthday. We love you tons.

Cambree graduates from Kindergarten!

Friday was Cambree's Kindergarten graduation, and she did such a good job singing. We are so proud of her. She is such a little smarty-pants. She breezed through kindergarten, and is already reading so well. We can't believe that she will be in first grade next year. This year flew by, and we are so grateful that our kids go to such an awesome school with awesome teachers. Both Carter and Cambree were lucky enough to have Mrs. Heaton for kindergarten and they just love her so much. We really love and appreciate her for all she has done for our kids.

Baseball season!

Carter had his second baseball game tonight. I am so proud of him. He is such a good little athlete. It is so much fun to see him do well at sports and have so much fun at the same time.

Carter's puppet show!

Today, Carter's class put on puppet shows for the rest of the 2nd graders and for all the parents. Carter's group did a little Star Wars puppet show, and of course Carter wanted to be Luke Skywalker. He made a really cool little Luke Skywalker puppet. I am proud of them. They did a really good job. Their puppet show was really cute and really funny. I am glad I was able to see it and get it on video.

Field trip to the Zoo!

Yesterday, Christy and I took the day off and went with Cambree on her field trip to the Hogle Zoo. It rained the first part of our day there, but we still had tons of fun. Cambree and her little friend Aleeha had fun together. We got to see the newest exhibit at the zoo, called "Natures Nigthmares." It is a pretty cool exhibit. You get to see rats, leeches, scorpions, piranhas, giant centipedes, and even bats that fly around above your head. It was also fun to see the baby elephant, Zuri, again.
