Interop

This year I was lucky enough to have Weber County send me to Las Vegas for INTEROP which is a huge IT Expo and Conference. Basically, all the computer geeks and techies come from all over the world to check out the latest and greatest in computer, network, and telecommunications technology. It was held in the Mandalay Bay Expo center and it took us about 4 hours to visit every booth. It was fun to see such amazing technology and to speak to representatives from so many different companies. Along the way I got all kinds of free goodies and t-shirts for my kids.

Pawn Stars

One of our favorite shows on TV is a show called Pawn Stars. It takes place in a famous pawn shop in Vegas. Last october when we were in Vegas we tried to go in, but they were busy filming, so I was excited to get to go in this time. It was fun to see the inside of the store and to recognize things from the show. One of my favorite things that they had, was a Denver Broncos Superbowl ring that they were selling for one hundred thousand dollars. I was hoping to see old man, rick, big hoss, or chumlee but I was told they are only there during the day. It was still fun to get to see the store and all the cool antique stuff they have for sell.

Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World

Our first day in Vegas we decided to go check out Bass Pro Shops, Outdoor World. We always see it from the freeway whenever we drive through Vegas, but have never stopped there. It is an amazing place. It is a lot like Cabelas only even bigger and they even sell boats and atvs. Probably could have spent all day there. They had anything and everything when it comes to fishing, hunting, and camping. It was awesome!

Easter Egg hunt at Grandma's house!

Shandi and I hid eggs and candy all over my parents backyard. The kids had a blast running around the yard trying to find them all. Some had candy, others had money in them. After they had all been found, they each picked a spot on the patio so they could open all their eggs and see what was inside them.

Easter Day!

Easter Morning!

Easter morning was fun. Our kids were so excited to see what the Easter bunny had brought them. They each got a toy, an outfit, and their favorite candy. The Easter bunny also left the new Harry Potter movie in the middle of the floor and so they were trying to decide who it belonged to. We told them since it was in the middle of the floor it was for all of them to share. The girls were excited to get new Barbies. Calee got a Rapunzel barbie doll, and Cambree got the Monster High doll she wanted. Carter got some of the Halo action figures and a new Lego Ninjago.

Pleasant View Easter Egg Hunt

We have a tradition of taking our kids up to Pleasant View city's Easter Egg hunt every year on the Saturday morning of Easter weekend. They split the kids up in different age groups and set them free at 9:00. It has grown to be a pretty popular thing. It can be a little chaotic, but our kids enjoy it. It only takes a few minutes before the entire park is picked clean of every piece of candy. Christy stayed with Calee and helped her, while I stayed with Cambree and Owen. Carter, his cousin Eli, and his friend Parker were together. I tried to take video but I lost them in a matter of seconds and then it was too chaotic. They had a lot of fun and ended up getting plenty of candy. It is fun for Christy and I because we always see a lot of family and friends and their kids.

Baby Kirina!

Sami and Jared had their baby Sunday evening. Baby Kirina Ruth Swallow - 6 lbs. 2 oz. and 18 inches long. We took the kids up last night to see her. She is such a little sweetheart. Our kids just love her. We are so happy for them. They are such cute, proud new parents!
