bowling at FAT CATS

After seeing Santa, we ordered pizza from pizza factory and did some bowling at Fat Cats. It was a fun night!

Coca Cola and Santa at the Junction!

Friday night we learned from Kyle and Emily that Coca Cola and Santa were going to be down at the Junction in Ogden, so we took the kids down to see him and met up with Kyle, Emily, and Addi. Coca Cola had their cool light up truck on display and we got to see Santa and get our picture taken with him. The kids each got a free Coca Cola bear wich was pretty cool. Afterward we decided to take the kids bowling, eat pizza and breadtwists from the Pizza Factory for dinner and then play games at fat cats. It was a fun night. Just what we needed. Thanks Kyle!!!

Puttin' up the Tree! 2012

our kids have been begging us to put the Christmas tree up. We have a 10 foot tall  pre-lit Christmas Tree and it is a lot of work to put up and get ready, but once it is up, it is an amazing tree. Carter helped me carry it up from the shed. It always takes some time to get all the lights plugged in and working. Our kids wanted to do the Disney tree again this year, so we got out all of our Disney ornaments. Christy and I set back and let them take turns hanging all of the Disney ornaments. They did such a good job on them. It was fun to see the three of them working together and getting along so well while decorating the tree. It was a fun day.

Grocery Cart CARS!

Our kids have always loved the carts that have the cars attached to them. Carter and Cambree are too big for them now, but Calee is still little and looks for them anytime we go to Smiths, Lowes, or Home Depot. Christy and I hate them, but we have always given in and let them ride in them. Well, tonight in Smiths Cambree and Calee decided to see if they could both fit inside the little car. It was hillarious. I took this cute picture of them squeezed in there together.

Cambree, Calee, and Addi

Saturday night we watched Addison for Emily and Kyle and our kids were super excited. Our girls decided to watch a movie in Cambree's room. When I peaked my head in to check on them, this is what I saw:

It was one of the cutest things that I have ever seen. I just had to grab my camera and take this picture.

Carter, Zombie killer!

Carter went on an overnighter and shooting activity with the scouts up to Howell Utah. They took part in a service project helping some farmers get rocks out of their fields and then they got to shoot guns. The scouts got to shoot clay pigeons and then also shoot .22 rifles. Carter has attended some Hunters safety classes with his Grandpa Roger and has been proving to me that he can be safe with guns, so I let Carter take my .22 AMT lightning Assault rifle and shoot it. I even went to Kents Shooters and bought him a bunch of really cool Zombie splatter targets for him and the scouts to shoot at. Carter had lots to tell us when he came home the next day and was proudly showing off his targets.

Nutcracker_2012

This year Cambree is in the Nutcracker and she is a sugar-plum fairy. We are so proud of her and how well she is doing in ballet. She is so pretty and so graceful when she dances and she is really excited for the Nutcracker to get here. Friday night was Nutcracker picture night up at Weber High School. Shandi and Emily helped Christy get Cambree's hair and make-up just right. We took her over and got her all changed into her sugar-plum fairy costume. A mom of one of the girls in Cambree's group even brought spray glitter and sprayed them all with glitter. Cambree looked so cute and so grown up. We love her so much!

Field trip to the Library

Calee was so excited for her field trip to the library today. Her pre-school class got to go to the big main library in downtown Ogden. The main library has a fun kids section with lots of books, games, computers and activities for little kids. They also read stories to the kids. The highlight of the day, though, was this cute little old man that came and performed little plays for the kids. He was hillarious. I'm just glad that I could break away from work for a minute and run up the street to the libray to be with Calee. It was fun!

Calee, our little thanksgiving Indian!

Calee was so excited to show us her Indian dress-up that she made at pre-school this week.

Kids and Leaves

This week, our neighbors, the Downs, were raking all their leaves up and all the neighbor kids thought that they needed to be over there playing in them. They each took turns jumping in the pile and then they all had a giant leaf fight. It was fun to watch them all play in the leaves together. It is also fun to live in a neighbor hood with so many kids that all get along so well. Jill took this cute picture of all the kids together.

Halloween 2012

Halloween 2012 was awesome!!! Carter was obi wan kenobi from Star Wars. Cambree was Merida from the Disney movie Brave, and Calee was Rapunzel, (of course). This year, the weather was amazing! The night started out with pizza at our house with friends. After pizza, all of us Dads headed out with the kids, while the wives stayed behind and had their own little party on the driveway sitting around the propane fire pit and handing out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. Carter is at the age where he wanted to go off with friends and trick-or-treat all night, so we didn't see much of him. Carter and Cambree had fun trick-or-treating and getting candy. Carter was out pretty late and by the time he got home, he had quite the haul of candy. The rest of the evening was spent around the fire in the driveway with neighbors and friends eating candy and having our own little late night Halloween party.

our 2012 Halloween Jack-O-Lanterns

We love carving pumpkins at our house. We carved a lot of them this year, but these were some of our best creations:

Ward Party and Trunk or Treat

Our kids look forward to the Ward Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat every year. It always starts out with soups and chilis and then the young men and young women in our ward put on a carnival for all the kids. After the carnival, everyon goes outside for trunk or treat and doughnuts and juice. This year, Christy and I had our three kids plus three more. Cambree's friend Averee came and then we also took Brylee and Emma Petersen with us. It gave us a glimpse of what it would be like to have six kids. They were all so good and we had such a fun night. The kids loved playing all the games, getting their faces painted, and trunk or treating. We only saw Carter a few times. He was running around with his friends Jaxon and Taylor the whole time having fun with all the other kids in the ward, so I didn't get too many pictures of him. We feel so blessed to live in this ward and have so many friends. It was a fun night!

Dance Performance Day

Today was Dance Performance Day at Calee's Ballet school. There is nothing better in this world than watching our kids perform. Whether it's watching Carter in sports, or our girls in dance, it is always the best part of my day and I just love them so much. Calee is so tiny and so cute. We are very proud of her and the little dancer she is becoming. We are also so grateful for her ballet teachers. They are so awesome and just love Calee so much!

Raking leaves at Grandma's house

Last night after our weekly Sunday dinner at Grandma's house we went out into the back yard and raked leaves. It didn't take long before we had a huge pile to run and jump into. The kids took turns jumping into the pile and even some of the adults took turns jumping in. We took some pretty funny home video of all of us running and jumping in.
