Today the entire Majestic Elementary School 3rd grade took a field trip to Salt Lake to the Clark Planetarium. I was able to take the day off and go with Cambree and her class. We rode the front-runner from Ogden down to Salt Lake. We ate lunch at the gateway and then go to visit the planetarium. I was in charge of Cambree and her little friend Gracie. The weather was nice and we had a really fun day.

Dance Recital 2013
Our girls' dance recital was today at the Egyptian Theatre downtown. They were each in 2 different dances and the theme this year was LIFE. All the dances were inspired by different life events. Calee's first dance was a jungle african safari dance and her second dance was a happy birthday themed dance with confetti dropping from the ceiling. Cambree did a winter ballet dance and a dance to the song "When I'm 64"
They both did such a good job on their dances. We love them so much and are so proud of them. Thanks to all those that came and supported them and watch them dance.

Friday night with the girls
Christy went to a Relief Society retreat tonight up at the Stake camp and Carter is on a campout with his Grandpa Roger tonight, so it was just me, Cambree, and Calee. We went to dinner at Del Taco, went and played for a while out at Toads, and then finished the night with treats at Zeppes. It was a really fun night. I just love my girls so much.
Friday lunch dates
I love my friday lunch dates with Christy and Calee. Today we ate lunch at 5 guys and I snapped this cute picture. Calee has always called fridays "Me's and You's day" because she gets to spend all day shopping with Christy and then eating lunch with me. Next year she will be in kindergarten and we won't get to have our "Me's and You's day". It is hard to watch our baby grow up and start kindergarten. We just love her so much.

Toads
We have been putting our Toads passes to good use. We spend many evenings out there with the kids mini golfing, playing lasertag, and riding the go-karts.
The girls new dress-up Armoire
This is our latest project. We found something on Pinterest and decided to try and build this armoire for our girls to store all of their dress-ups. It turned out really cute. The hardest part was building the drawer, but I am really happy with how it turned out. Our girls love it!

Cousins!
Today was Christy's cousin Jacob's mission farewell. He will be serving in Argentina. We were able to travel to Farmington and hear him speak today and to hang out with the Laws side of the family at Christy's Aunt Nadene's house. It was fun to see everyone. Our kids loved seeing some of their cousins that they never get to see. I took this cute picture of Christy's cousin Nate playing with Cambree, Calee, and some of their cousins on the front lawn.

2013 Safe Kids Fair!
Today was the Safe Kids Fair out at the Fairgrounds. Our kids enjoy going to it. There is always a lot of fun stuff to see and our kids love all the free stuff. Most importantly, though, they learn all about bike safety, internet safety, car safety and lots of other good safety stuff.

Hashbrown Winters and the Whiz-Tastrophe!
Tonight our friend Frank Cole had a book signing party for his new Hashbrown Winters book at the Deseret Book Store in Fort Union. Frank and Heidi Cole were our best friends when we were first married and lived in South Ogden. We have tried to keep in touch over the years but it is hard now that we have kids and are so busy. Frank is especially busy. He is an author and has published quite a few books. His Hashbrown Winters series of books are some of our kids' favorite books. When we heard that they were having a party for his latest book, we knew that we had to be there. Our kids were really excited when we told them where we were going. It was fun to watch Carter and Jackson (Frank and Heidi's oldest, who is Carter's age) act like best buddies even though we haven't hung out with them in a few years. It was a fun night and we were glad that we could be there. Frank is one of those people that keeps you laughing and smiling the whole time you are with him. We are proud of him and we owe him a big thanks, because his books have helped Carter learn to enjoy reading.
