Dress-ups at Grandmas House

Our kids' favorite thing to do at Grandma's house is to play with all the different dress-ups. Today Addi was a dinosaur and Kyle tooke these cute pictures of her and Cambree. I just had to post them.

Zeppes, Summer, and Friends

Our girls are missing their friends Averie and Cooper this week while they are on vacation in Island Park. Saturday night, while Averie and Coopers parents were getting ready to go, I decided to take them all to Zeppes and let them order whatever they wanted. I love this picture of all of them eating their Zeppes. They were all so excited to go. We just love these kids!!!

Life Flight and the kids

Life Flight came to drill tonight at the fire station. They taught us about all about landing zones, when to call them, and how we can help each other on medical calls. Afterward, we all got to go out and look at the helicopter. I called Christy and she was able to bring the kids over. The guys on Life Flight were so good to our kids. They let them climb inside and check everything out. They also let our kids put on their helmets and look through their night vision goggles. It was a pretty neat experience for our kids. We are lucky to have Life Flight and such great medical care so close to home. It is truly a pleasure and an honor to work with the men and women of Life Flight. It was a fun night!

Cambree's bicycle accident

I hate answering the door to a bunch of the neighborhood kids yelling, "Your daughter is hurt and her skin is open!" All I could picture was her and a compound fracture somewhere on her body. So we go outside, and we see one of our neighbors carrying Cambree and Cambree is crying hysterically. Well, she fell on her bike, and tore her knee open pretty good. We took her to the instacare in North Ogden so they could clean it out and stich her up. They had a hard time cleaning all of the little black pieces of road out of her knee. Cambree was so sad at first, but then they numbed it up really good and she did fine while they stitched her up. After it was all over, we took her to 7-Eleven for a slurpee and that seemed to make everything all better. Now she will just have a cool scar on her knee for the rest of her life. 4th of July Weekend

This year we spent the 4th of July weekend camping up at Weber Memorial campground. We got our usual spot right next to the river. The weather was great. We had lots of fun camping, four-wheeling, tubing, playing in the river, and just hanging out. Our kids loved hiking up to the canons and playing on them. They also loved tubing down the river. It was a very fun weekend. It was nice to get away and not have to worry about work, parades, fireworks, or anything else. Just relaxing and having fun.

Grandma and Grandpa Laws 60th wedding anniversary

Last night was Grandma and Grandpa Laws' 60th wedding anniversary party. Despite the 100 degree weather, we all met at their house in Layton for a big party with cake and ice cream. Our kids loved seeing their cousins and it was fun to see everyone. Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa Laws! We love you!

Splash Pad!!!

We are lucky to have a fun splash pad close to our house. Especially when we have triple digit heat like we are having this week. Tonight we got pizza and had a little picnic and then let the kids run wild. Darrin and Holly came and Payton had fun with Carter, Cambree and Calee.
