Carter - Scout Camp 2013

Carter was excited to go to Scout Camp this year. Christy's Dad is a Scoutmaster and invited Carter to go with his troop to Camp Hunt. We were able to go up and visit him on friday during raspberry days. He was excited to tell us all about his fun week that he had. Carter passed his swim check, did the polar bear, went on the wilderness survival trip, and earned six merit badges. The coolest thing though, is that their troop went above and beyond all week and earned the John A. Hunt Award. They are one of only a few troops out of hundreds this summer, to win it. We are so proud of Carter. He is such a good boy and loves Scouting. We were excited to see him and get to spend some time with him up there.

Bear Lake - Raspberry Days

We had a fun day with Darrin and Holly and their kids up at Bear Lake. We ate lunch at Merlins, had tons of fun at Raspberry Days, visited Carter at Camp Hunt (He has been up there all week at Scout Camp), and then of course we had fresh raspberry shakes.

We bought one of these cool metal flowers to put in our front yard.

Overnighter to North Fork

Last night I was able to go with Carter on his Scout over-nighter up to North Fork. We had fun playing kick the can, cooking hobo dinners and spending time around the campfire. This morning we went on a nice little hike up by the environmental center. We had a lot of fun.

 

 

 

24th of July 2013

This year for the 24th of July we had a big barbecue with family and friends and then we lit off a bunch of fireworks. in front of our house. We had quite a gathering of family, friends, neighbors, and kids from the neighborhood. It was a fun night!!!
