Santa Claus

Our kids got to see Santa last night up in Pleasant View. It is fun to see them get so excited about seeing Santa Claus. Calee sat there and was really quiet for a minute. Eventually she opened up and told santa that she wants a puppy. (not a real puppy) she wants an American Girl Doll puppy named "pepper."

Western Motocross Nationals

This weekend was the Western Motocross Nationals at the Golden Spike Arena. Christy and I took the kids friday night for a few hours, and then I took Carter and Cambree last night. Our kids loved watching it. They especially loved the kids races on the minis. Cambree thought it was awesome to see so many girls racing motocross. I was amazed at how fast the pros can fly around that course. It was a rush to be so close to the action and watch them race.
 This was Cambree's favorite rider

Some fun pictures down at Union Station

Yesterday turned out to be a nice day, so we called our cousin, Carlie and asked her to take some pictures of us. It got a little cold towards the end, but we had fun. Our kids love it down there at Union Station. These are just a few pictures that I snapped with my camera. As soon as we get pictures back from Carlie, I will post them.

Calee

New Christmas Tree

Christy has wanted a new Christmas tree for a long time. We have 10 ft. ceilings, so she has always wanted a nice, big, 10 ft. tall tree. Every year we look at them, but don't want to spend the money on a bigger tree. This year, some friends told us they were selling their 10 ft. tall Christmas tree. Originally, they bought it from Modern Display and payed a thousand dollars for it, and now it won't fit in their new house. Well, they gave us an offer we couldn't refuse. We bought it and sold our other tree on KSL. I like that this new one is pre-lit and it fills up the room. It looks amazing, and our kids love it. Calee tells people everywhere we go about our "big" tree. This year it is covered with Disney ornaments.

little brown boots

Our girls have wanted some of these silly boots that are in style right now. Well, we finally bought them each a pair and wrapped them up to go under the tree for Christmas. Calee walked out in her little brown dress ready for church and I decided she would look cute in her little brown boots. So, me being the big sucker I am, let them open their boots and wear them. I couldn't resist. They do look really stinking cute in them.

Sami and Jared's wedding

Sami and Jared were married Saturday night up in Pleasant View. Our kids were so excited to be able to go to a wedding. Carter looked handsome in his dress clothes and his new black and red tie. Our girls look very cute in their black dresses. The wedding was very nice and we are so happy for Sami and Jared.

Cambree's field trip to the Nature Center

This year Cambree begged me to go with her to her 1st grade field trip to the Nature Center. I was able to leave work and meet her down there. Despite the cold weather and the wind, we had an absolute blast. It was fun to get to spend some one on one time with her at the nature center. We learned all about Indians, bison, plants, and we got to see all kinds of different birds. We even got to sit inside a teepee and hear Indian stories.

November Pack Night

This month our scouts had a fun pack night. Carter and his troop performed the flag ceremony, they performed a skit, and we even had a lot of fun scout cheers. Carter was excited to play the part of the Turkey hunter in their little skit. He wanted to dress up in some of my hunting stuff, so I let him dress up in some of my orange hunting gear. He also took one of his nerf guns to use in the skit. It was a funny little skit. We are proud of him for being involved in cub scouts and for earning some arrow points this time at pack night.

We love our kids!

Long Hair!

Some of you have noticed the last little while that Carter's hair is getting pretty long. He decided this summer that he wanted to grow his hair out. We have always been against the idea, but finally decided to let him try it. It has taken some getting use to, since he has had short hair his whole life up until now. The longer it gets, the easier it is to comb in the morning. We still aren't crazy about it. I keep trying to talk him into cutting it. He has even gotten some money bribes from people in the family to cut it. Hopefully when he starts basketball, I can talk him into cutting it. Until then,  we'll just love our shaggy little boy!

Cambree and her little black boots!

Cambree has wanted black boots for quite awhile. Well, Christy surprised her this week by buying her some cute, black boots. We weren't going to give them to her for a few weeks, but Christy couldn't resist giving them to her early. I had no idea a pair of boots could make a little girl so happy. She wore them to church on yesterday, she wore them to Grandma's house last night, and I noticed she wore them to school this morning. She does look stinkin' cute in them. They make her look older than she really is, which I am not crazy about, but she does look very cute and very stylish.

Our cute girls!

Our girls looked extra cute in their dresses this morning.
